WHAT IS NAD+?
 
NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a molecule that naturally exists in every cell of our body.
 
It is and has been the primary energy source for every organism on earth since the beginning of life 3 billion years ago.
 
WHAT DOES IT DO?
 
NAD+ energises and protects. 
 
NAD+ produces energy for each of the approximately 30 trillion cells in the human body - which means it fuels the function of all organs.
 
NAD+ acts as a co-enzyme with other molecular complexes to provide a number of protective functions throughout the body, including: 

• protection against DNA mutations and therefore cancer 

• removal of acute and chronic inflammatory molecules, which in turn prevents cell damage and death, and organ dysfunction 

• activation of immune cells in order to protect against infection 

• maintenance of neuronal (brain cell) integrity which optimises cognitive function

 
WHY SUPPLEMENT OUR NAD+ LEVELS?
 
NAD+ levels naturally and gradually reduce with age. After age 46this decline becomes steeper, and insufficient NAD+ levels contributes to:

• decreased energy production weakens the function of all cells and therefore organs, which in turn decreases overall wellness and vitality

• chronic inflammation contributes to diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases, chronic pain, chronic fatigue

• DNA mutations increase the risk of cancer cells forming
